Build Your Faith!

What we listen to will determine what we believe. If you spend a lot of time watching tv, you will begin to believe the lies of the world more than you believe what God says. Eventually, the mind begins to accept something if it is heard often enough.

Today we’re going to talk about faith, and how we can grow our faith. The Bible says in Romans 12:3, that every believer is given a measure of faith, It is up to us to use and develop what faith we have been given.

The definition of faith is… Complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

It’s a strong belief in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual conviction, rather than proof.

Authentic Faith influences daily the decisions we make, and decisions about how we behave.

Faith nourishes the heart and the soul.

Hebrews 11:1; NKJV says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:6 says, without faith it is impossible to please God.

Although we don’t always feel peace, joy, love and patience, we do still have it.

The life of faith is contrary and opposite to what you might feel at times, but God is good, his plan is still in place.

2 Corinthians 5:7 says, For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Romans 10:17 says, so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

That is why it’s so important to fill ourselves with the Word of God. We can do this by listening to, or watching christian teachings, having christian radio playing in your home, reading and meditating on God’s Word, spending time with godly friends.

Matthew 21:22 says, And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.

We have the opportunity each day to strengthen our faith.

God loves us so much, that he sent His Son as a necessary sacrifice to the world to erase our sins. Just knowing this, it should give us the faith to start each day, knowing we are his, and how important we are to him.

I’d like to end today by saying a prayer of faith over you.

Lord, I ask that you would help each person watching this teaching, to find perfect peace that only comes through faith in you. I ask that you would protect their hearts and minds from the things of this world. I pray this in Jesus mighty name, amen.
